To be eligible for program acceptance, you must be 21 years or older, have completed your NYSC or possess an exemption letter, and successfully pass our entry assessment.
2 Guarantors Required
Selected applicants must provide 2 Guarantors. Guarantor’s agreement must be notarized before program commences.

At i-Academy, we’re dedicated to mitigating the effects of tech-talent attrition in Nigeria and beyond. Our educational and socio-economic initiative is powered by Africa Prudential Plc and incorporates a unique approach to Corporate Social Responsibility. Our six-month training program provides young tech enthusiasts with the skills and knowledge they need to launch a successful career in the technology industry. Our approach is rigorous, insightful, and designed to equip the next generation of tech leaders with the tools they need to succeed.
Training
Our programs runs for a period of 6 months, during which students will learn frontend software development, backend software development and additional soft skills in a hybrid learning approach.
Projects
As part the the curriculum, we expose the interns to real-life applications and projects. During these projects, we ensure they are well-equipped to design programs both individually and in teams. This aspect of the program provides the interns with verifiable work experience and the confidence to excel in their jobs after graduation.

What does i-Academy do?
i-Academy is contributing to sustainably impact its community, by nurturing and growing youths from scratch, through our Technical Trainee Programme (TTP) to become well-rounded technical talents who will be given an opportunity to access gainful employment at the end of a successful program.
How can I enroll into i-Academy?
Please click on this link to enroll. You will be required to put in a valid email address before you proceed to the application form.
What next, after registration?
Once you have successfully registered, you will be moved to the next stage where you will be required to take some assessments. Wishing you the very best!
What happens if I don’t pass the assessment?
If you don’t pass the assessments, you will not advance to the next stage for this cohort, and you will receive an email notification concerning that. We are happy to review your application again at the next cohort after you have enhanced your application profile.
When will classes for the next Cohort start?
Classes for this cohort starts on the 4th of March 2024. We implore you to check your email frequently as various information will be duly communicated with applicants and successful candidates.
How long is the i-Academy Technical Trainee Programme (TTP)?
The duration of Technical Trainee Programme (TTP) 2024 is 6 months.
If I am successful, can I defer my admission?
Deferment is not accepted. Ensure your availability for in-person training throughout the program duration. If unable to commit, you will need to re-apply for the next cohort.
Will I get a Certificate at the end of the training?
Yes. Upon successful completion of the 6 months training, participants will gain a certificate in their chosen learning track.
Are There Any Other Benefits That Come With The Training?
Yes, there are. All members of the Cohort will get daily meals, access to healthcare insurance, and learning tools. (no laptops will be given)
Do I need to have studied or have a background in tech to apply?
No prior experience in tech is required to join our Technical Trainee Program. However, candidates with a background in software development or evidence of interaction with software development will have an added advantage for a more enriching learning experience.
What qualifies me to get accepted into the i-Academy program?
To be eligible for program acceptance, you must be 21 years or older, have completed your NYSC or possess an exemption letter, and successfully pass our entry assessment.
How Much Is The Tuition Fee?
The 6 months training, is FREE but with a post training commitment of two years.
Will I Receive Any Assistance In Securing A Job After I Graduate?
Yes, you will. i-Academy’s mission is to support you in securing gainful employment after successful completion of the programme. However, your performance during the program, availability of roles and post training dexterity will impact the organizations ability to provide the needed support.
What Will I Learn In Classes During The 6 Months?
You will learn all the required skills to become either a Java, Dotnet or React software engineer. In addition to that, you will also receive soft skills training that will equip you to integrate successfully in any organization. Our vision is to ensure that you are a well-rounded software engineer.
What Do I Need To Do To Be Able To Learn At I-Academy?
You will need to be intentional about learning, be physically present at all your classes, Monday to Friday, from 8am – 5pm; take your lessons seriously and participate in all your assessments, assignments and projects.
Where Will The Classes Take Place?
All classes will take place at our i-Academy Innovation Hub, a location that will be communicated to all successful candidates.
